Don’t Let Fear Steal Your Progress
Do you ever find yourself afraid of regaining the weight after you’ve worked so hard to lose it? Maybe you wonder:
-
“Am I really going to be able to keep this off?”
-
“What if I fail like I have in the past?”
-
“Can I really trust myself on this journey?”
Those fears are real. But instead of letting fear stop you, what if you began to see fear differently?
Fear Is a Prompt to Trust God
The Bible repeats the words “fear not” more than almost any other command. Why? Because God knew you would face fear often—and He wanted you to be reminded, again and again, that you don’t face it alone.
Every time fear rises up, let it be a signal:
“Here’s an area where I need to turn back to God. Here’s a place I need to lean on Him, not myself.”
Take Back What the Enemy Meant for Harm
The enemy wants to use fear to paralyze you and keep you from moving forward. But you can flip it on its head. Fear can become a tool that drives you back into the safety of God’s presence.
When you sense fear saying, “You can’t do this,” respond with faith:
-
“God has called me to this.”
-
“In my weakness, His strength is made perfect.”
-
“I choose to trust Him instead of my feelings.”
Today’s Challenge
When fear shows up, don’t ignore it and don’t let it derail you. Pause and pray:
“Lord, here is where I’m not trusting You. I give this fear back to You. Help me to lean on You instead of myself.”
Remember
Fear doesn’t have to be the end of your progress. It can be the beginning of a deeper trust in God.
So the next time those worries about failure, weight regain, or uncertainty creep in—see them as your invitation to draw closer to Him.
