END EMOTIONAL EATING: Learn to Let Go, Let God, and Lose Weight
A 31-day devotional for Christian women who are tired of the craving-guilt cycle

Why the struggle feels so hard

  • “I’m not even hungry—so why am I in the pantry?”
  • Cravings steam-roll my best intentions at 3 p.m. and 10 p.m.
  • I promise myself “never again,” then hide the wrappers—again.
  • Hormone swings, stress, and my need to keep everyone happy send me straight to the snack cupboard.
  • I ditch late-night ice cream, only to start inhaling chips in the car—same craving, different costume.

If any of that rings true, End Emotional Eating was written for you.

What makes this devotional different

  1. Targets the root, not just the plate.
Discover the 8 Types of Hunger and learn a one-question Apple Test that shows whether you need food or something deeper.
  2. Stops a craving in real time.
The 3-Step Reset—Pause → Pray → Practice calms your nervous system, invites the Holy Spirit in, and points your next action toward freedom.
  3. Breaks the guilt-shame spiral.
Daily Scriptures, reflection prompts, and prayers turn “I blew it” into honest conversation with the Lord instead of condemnation.
  4. Speaks to body, soul and spirit.
Hormonal changes, stress triggers, low self-worth, people-pleasing—each day addresses a real-life pain point and offers a practical exercise plus a Bible-anchored perspective.
  5. Provides a repeatable playbook.
You’ll walk away with tools you can use anywhere: a boardroom, the school pick-up line, or the dessert table at church.

Inside you’ll find

  • 31 bite-sized devotions that meet you where the craving hits
  • Emotion Naming & Reclaiming Guide—match any negative feeling with a verse that steadies your heart
  • Simple breathing and movement practices that replace “feel-eat-regret” with “feel-pray-respond”
  • Stories from women who traded secrecy for support—and watched weight release naturally
  • Guided prayers that help you hand control back to God and rest in His care

What readers experience

  • Clarity — finally see why you run to food so you can choose differently
  • Calm — cravings lose their power when your first response is a holy pause
  • Confidence — you act from your identity in Christ, not the number on a scale
  • Connection — no more battling alone; optional group coaching and Commit 365 community keep you supported every step

This book is a game changer. I just completed Day 8. I feel like each encounter is a personal therapy session. Each day also offers ways to TAKE ACTION. I already know that I will be going through it at least 2 or 3 times. Thank God for the PAUSE concept…sit in it, active practice…

  2. Nancy

I am amazed at how Cathy applies scripture to weight release. There is so much wisdom in these pages.

  3. Michelle

Absolutely excellent and Holy Spirit filled. I am learning so much and being blessed beyond belief. I’m on day 9 and I cannot wait to dive into each daily devotional. The End Emotional Eating book has taken me to some deep and tender places in my life that God has longed to heal. I am so grateful!

  4. Monya

The first days of End Emotional Eating were so eye-opening-it’s like flipping on a light in a roach-infested kitchen. The lies and cravings(like roaches) scatter as God’s truth becomes spiritual Raid, wiping them out and filling the emptiness I used to feed with food.

  5. ShaPearl

[In End Emotional Eating, the practice of], Pause, Pray and Practice- has stood out to me thus far, very practical steps that can easily be incorporated into my daily routine. I’ve copied the steps and some of the points onto index cards and they are sitting on my desk visibly seen while I work!

Thank you so much for all you do! It is my prayer to finally be released from the stronghold of sugar and unhealthy eating habits, I know I can do all things through Christ who is my strength and gives me strength.

  6. Roberta

I am on day 8 of End Emotional Eating and can honestly say that God is using this course to really get to a new layer in my journey. It feels very deep and I am feeling a little vulnarable as if a wound has been opened but also amazed and safe because I trust He is the one treating me, treating my wounds to bring about healing. I had a moment yesterday. I was feeling like a failure, frustrated and sad after realizing I couldn’t ride a bike. I started to practice the 3 Ps and yet I ran for the biscuits right in the middle of praying. After just 2 biscuits( usually it would have been more) I stopped and journaled and surrendered ( my word for the year). Through the course I now have tools to practice. I now have tools to use before cravings come, when I am full blown in the middle and afterwards. Thank you for this! I especially grateful for the information about the 8 types of hunger. I find myself really being aware of this throughout my day.
