I encourage you to finish these last 12 weeks of the year strong while giving God all the glory!
Did you know that there are only 12 weeks remain until 2019 is in the bag?
Would you say you are healthier now than at the beginning of the year?
Did you accomplish your health and wellness goals?
Are you happy with your current level of health?
If you answered ‘no’ to any of these questions, no worries. Most of us fall short our our goals but it’s not too late to discover how to become a goal-getter instead of a goal-setter.
Here’s what you can do today
Step 1: Identify Your Top 1-2 fitness goals
Set goals that are specific goals that you want to accomplish by the end of the year.
Be sure and state your goals in the affirmative. Here are some examples:
- I will lose 20 pounds in the next 100 days.
- I will increase my lean muscle mass by 5%
Step 2: Complete an Action Plan
Your action plan will outline exactly how you’re going to achieve your goals. List 2-3 of them for each of your goals. Here are some examples:
- I will not eat after 8:00 pm.
- I will do aerobic exercise for 30 minutes 5 days per week
- I will perform weight training exercises 3 times per week.
- I will maintain food records
- I will replace my coke with water.
Step 3:Get Busy Working Your Goal
Setting the goals are easy, the real work comes in carrying them out.
In my next post, I will share some of the ways that I keep myself motivated and inspired. (even when I don’t feel like it)
My friend Herbie has a little declaration that he says every time he is nearing the end of a race, ‘finish strong while praising God.’
I encourage you to finish the end of this year the same pledge- ‘finish strong while praising God’. Let’s start today.
Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours.~1 Cor 9:24
